Questions Canadians actually ask

Is it legal to install my own solar system in Saskatchewan?
It depends where you live — and we tell you straight. Truly portable, plug-connected gear needs no permits. Anything permanently wired to a building needs an electrical permit. As the owner of your own home you can pull a homeowner electrical permit through SaskPower and legally do the work yourself, passing inspection. Grid-tie work must be done by a licensed electrician and enrolled in the SaskPower Net Metering Program. One call to SaskPower Inspections settles it — we include a checklist with every kit.
Will solar actually work in a Saskatchewan winter?
Yes — better than almost anywhere. Saskatchewan is the sunniest province in Canada (Regina and Saskatoon average well over 4.5 peak sun hours a day across the year), and panels produce more per watt in the cold. Winter days are shorter, which is why our off-grid kits include real battery capacity and our estimates use honest year-round averages, not summer peaks.
Do your kits really include everything?
If it needs a wire, the wire is in the box: panels, charge controller or inverter, battery where listed, racking, MC4 connectors, fuses, disconnects and a plain-language install guide. No surprise parts runs to town.
Do you ship across Saskatchewan?
Yes. Palletized freight across Saskatchewan is about $349 — Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and rural SK included. Exact freight is confirmed with you before anything is charged, and pickup in Calgary is free if you're passing through.
What if I buy the wrong size?
Use the instant quote tool, or send us the quote form and a real person will size it with you before you spend a dollar. Unopened kits have a 30-day return window.
