What are tints and shades?
Tints are lighter versions of your colour (mixed toward white) and shades are darker (mixed toward black). They make it easy to build a consistent palette.
What does the contrast check tell me?
It shows the WCAG contrast ratio of your colour against white and black text, with the accessibility grade (AA / AAA). Aim for at least 4.5:1 for normal body text.
