The 2024 CFL rookie sensation arrives in Red and White carrying the kind of high-octane intensity that earned him respect across the league during his debut season with the Edmonton Elks. That year, Bynum racked up an impressive stat line: 23 tackles, five interceptions, and a forced fumble in just 14 games.
"I got recruited by Coach Dave," Bynum said with confidence during a recent practice at McMahon Stadium. "He gave me an opportunity. I became a free agent in the winter, and that opportunity's what brought me down here."
GM and head coach Dave Dickenson saw something special in Bynum — the kind of disruptive energy that can transform a secondary from solid to dominant. The move to sign him as a key off-season acquisition signals the Stampeders' commitment to strengthening their defence ahead of the season.
"I'm bringing the big hits and interceptions to turn the crowd up," Bynum declared, channelling the raw, competitive spirit that shaped his game growing up on the Texas high-school gridiron.
