Calgary Police Service has announced a major development in a homicide investigation that shook the Ogden neighbourhood last December, with the arrest of a fourth suspect wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

The case centres on the death of 32-year-old Feysal Osman Abul-Asiz, who was found dead outside his vehicle in the early morning hours of December 10, 2025. Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 7,000 block of 20 Street SE at approximately 12:30 a.m., discovering the victim at the scene.

The investigation has unfolded in stages over the past six months. A 17-year-old youth was arrested shortly after the shooting with assistance from Tsuut'ina Nation Police Service. Three months later, in March 2026, RCMP arrested two additional suspects in Clearwater, British Columbia.

On Tuesday, June 9, police completed the case with the arrest of the final suspect—a 22-year-old man—during an operation in Edmonton.

Serious Charges for All Four

All four accused individuals are now facing charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Police have indicated the victim had alleged connections to organized crime, though authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the killing.

The investigation represents a significant collaborative effort between Calgary Police Service, Tsuut'ina Nation Police Service, and RCMP across multiple provinces. The case highlights ongoing efforts to address serious violent crime in Calgary's southeast communities.

Residents concerned about neighbourhood safety and community policing can engage with discussions on Calgary Forums, where local residents share updates and concerns about their communities.

This report is based on information provided by Calgary Police Service. The charges against all four accused have not been tested in court.
