A person is in serious condition at hospital following a stabbing incident at a southwest Calgary residence early Tuesday morning, Calgary police confirmed.

Officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Glacier Drive SW in the Glamorgan community just before 10 a.m. When they arrived on scene, police located a victim with apparent stab wounds.

Emergency crews transported the injured person to hospital with serious injuries. The exact nature and severity of the wounds have not been disclosed by authorities.

Calgary Police Service investigators have not yet released details about what triggered the altercation or disclosed information about any relationship between the accused and the victim. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to piece together the events leading up to the incident.
