A tense confrontation on one of Calgary's busiest roadways Sunday afternoon ended with an officer firing their weapon, leaving one person hospitalized in life-threatening condition.
Calgary police responded to multiple reports of a dangerous driver operating erratically on Deerfoot Trail S.E. near Memorial Drive S.E. in the early afternoon. Officers believed the individual was responsible for reckless driving and fleeing police over the previous 24 hours.
