A devastating shooting at a school north of Bangkok has left six people dead and 15 others injured, marking the second school shooting to strike Thailand this year.
The attack unfolded Friday at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in the Bang Kruai district of Nonthaburi province. Police confirmed that three educators and three students were killed in the violence. Two of the injured remain in critical condition, authorities said.
The gunman, identified as a student at the school, died by suicide following the shooting, according to police statements. Investigators recovered evidence at the scene indicating the shooter fired 26 rounds, with an additional 34 rounds of ammunition discovered on location.

One 18-year-old student who survived the ordeal described the harrowing moments as gunfire erupted throughout the school day.
"Then it started getting more frequent, like 'bang, bang, bang' and then it went quiet at one point. And the shooting started again," the student told Reuters, adding that he initially mistook the sounds for firecrackers.
Parents rushed to the school to collect their children as emergency responders worked the scene, with law enforcement securing the campus and attending to the wounded.
