It's the shot every golfer dreams about: that perfect swing, the ball soaring through the air, landing on the green, rolling toward the pin—and dropping in for a hole-in-one. For seven Calgary and Alberta golfers this season, that dream became reality.

The Perfect Shots

From Shaganappi Point to McCall, Lakeview to Maple Ridge, southern Alberta's courses have been witness to some remarkable moments on the fairway. These golfers have joined an exclusive club—and their shots deserve recognition.

Steve Beaumont made his mark at Shaganappi Point Golf Club, sinking his ace at Hole 5 from 126 yards using a 9 iron. Not far behind, Jamie Gill scored at McCall Golf Club's challenging Hole 17, connecting from 160 yards with an 8 iron.

The younger generation is making waves too. Wyatt Haux showed precision at Lakeview Golf Club, sinking his shot at Hole 4 from just 83 yards with a 60-degree wedge. Colinda Hunter added her name to the honours board at Maple Ridge with a 111-yard shot on Hole 15.

Riley Lindenaar found success at Lakeview's Hole 9 from 101 yards using a 54-degree wedge, while Duncan McArthur impressed at Willow Park with a 167-yard ace on Hole 12 using a hybrid. Rounding out the list, De Tan Nguyen recorded an ace at McCall's Hole 4 from 147 yards with a 7 iron.

Did You Score an Ace?

Hole-in-ones are genuinely rare in golf—the odds of an amateur golfer scoring an ace during their lifetime are roughly one in 12,000. If you've been fortunate enough to join this exclusive club, WestNet News wants to hear your story.

Whether you nailed a dramatic long-distance shot or sank an unexpected putt-less hole, your moment deserves recognition. Share the details of your ace with specifics: the course name, hole number, distance, and the club you used. Every story adds to Calgary's golfing legacy.
