Calgary Police Service arrested a suspect Saturday evening following a shooting incident at the Victoria Park/Stampede CTrain station that left two people injured.
The incident unfolded shortly after 8 p.m. when three individuals became involved in a heated argument aboard the train. When all three exited at the Victoria Park/Stampede platform near the Stampede grounds, the confrontation turned violent. According to police, one of the individuals opened fire on the other two.
Emergency responders quickly transported both victims to Foothills Medical Centre. Calgary Police confirmed both are currently in stable condition and receiving treatment for their injuries.
