Edmonton police have laid second-degree murder charges against a man following the death of a senior found in a central city condo building.
Officers discovered the body of Arnie Kik Foon Ng, 74, inside a unit at the Glenora Gates complex on Monday afternoon. The discovery came after police responded to reports of a family dispute in west Edmonton and were subsequently directed to the condo building located at 10407 122 Street.
Jeremy Wai Keung Ng, 36, was arrested at a separate residence near Garnett Point on Edmonton's west side. He now faces the murder charge in connection with the death.
An autopsy determined that the victim died from stab wounds. Police confirmed that the accused and the deceased knew one another, though the exact nature of their relationship has not been disclosed.
