WestNet City Wi-Fi Information, Updated Summer 2023
We are always expanding. This coverage is based off of line of sight to our towers.
Regardless if the Wi-Fi SSID "WestNet Wireless" or "WestNet City Wi-Fi" shows on your device, WestNet City Wi-Fi is available to all Calgary and its surroundings.
US IP Address (Calgary Terminated, Not VPN, also available)
We made Calgary the first municipality in Canada to have its very own Wi-Fi network. We initially deployed outdoor Wi-Fi in 2002, again in 2004 and 2006. We now own and operate the largest Wi-Fi network in the country, both in terms of area and total amount of devices connected.
