Industrial-strength asphalt resurfacing coating with proprietary oil-based polymer technology. Deep jet-black finish. Ice-resistant protection. 3–5 seasons per application. Engineered for Calgary winters.
WestNet Stay Black is an industrial-strength asphalt resurfacing coating developed by WestNet Innovative Chemicals in Calgary, Alberta. Unlike retail water-based driveway sealers that sit on the surface and fade within months, Stay Black uses a proprietary oil-based polymer blend that penetrates deep into the asphalt substrate, bonding at a molecular level.
The result is a deep, jet-black finish that lasts 3–5 seasons with a single application. The coating provides a semi-slick surface that repels ice bonding and prevents water infiltration — the primary cause of frost heave and asphalt deterioration in Canadian climates.
Are you tired of reapplying “airport grade” driveway sealer each year? Stay Black provides a lasting, durable, and even semi ice-resistant finish for years to come. We are taking on select clientele for this premium coating solution.
Luxury residential homeowners choose Stay Black for a premium finish that matches high-end landscaping. Real estate agents recommend Stay Black before listing to maximize curb appeal and sale price.
Commercial property managers use Stay Black for parking lots, loading zones, and entrance driveways where a professional appearance matters year-round. One application eliminates annual re-sealing budgets.
Property developers — we work exclusively with select developers including Pump Hill Developments for new construction and renovation coating needs, even on brand-new asphalt.
Surface Preparation: All loose material, vegetation, and existing failed sealer is removed. Cracks are cleaned and treated. Oil spots are degreased. The surface is power washed and allowed to fully dry.
Primer Coat: A penetrating primer is applied to maximize adhesion between the existing asphalt and the Stay Black coating. This step is critical for long-term durability.
Stay Black Coating: The proprietary oil-based polymer formula is applied by professional roller or squeegee in a controlled, even layer. Two coats are standard for maximum protection.
Cure Period: Stay Black requires a full 24-hour cure before foot traffic and 48 hours before vehicle traffic. Optimal application temperature is 10–30°C with no rain forecast for 48 hours.
Stay Black is formulated by WestNet Innovative Chemicals, a division of WestNet N.A. — Calgary’s pioneer technology company since 1996.
