The Edmonton Oilers head into Thursday night's matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks riding a four-game winning streak — and goaltender Tristan Jarry will be between the pipes looking to help make it five.

Head coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed Jarry gets the start, rotating back into the crease after Connor Ingram turned in three consecutive impressive performances, surrendering just five goals on 89 shots for a .943 save percentage while posting a shutout against the Seattle Kraken.

Jarry, who came to Edmonton after several seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, has had a bumpy road with the Oilers at times, but appears to be rounding into form. He has won two of his last three starts, including a 5-2 victory over Utah that ignited the team's current streak.

"I thought he was very solid, two goals against and made some big saves when we needed them. He's had a lot of time to work on his game and re-set and in the last couple of practices he's looked pretty good." — Head Coach Kris Knoblauch

Jarry himself acknowledged the urgency of performing when called upon, noting there is little room for a slow start when the team is in the middle of a roll.

"I have to hit the ground running, just like then, going full speed. There's no time to wait around and hang out. You can't really ease your way into these games," he said.

Hyman's Status Unclear

Up front, the Oilers are keeping a close eye on forward Zach Hyman, who sat out Wednesday's practice and also skipped the team's optional morning skate Thursday. Edmonton has not disclosed the nature of any potential injury, listing him only as a game-time decision.

Forward Trent Frederic is also in the lineup for the contest at Rogers Place, giving the Oilers some added depth up front regardless of Hyman's availability.
