A tragic collision on a rural Alberta highway has claimed the life of a 69-year-old Edmonton man, marking another serious traffic incident in the region.
Alberta RCMP responded to the crash at approximately 6:18 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, along Highway 627 between Range Road 273 and 274 in Parkland County, west of Edmonton. Officers arrived to find the motorcyclist deceased at the scene.
The motorcycle collided with a pickup truck driven by an 82-year-old Spruce Grove resident, who escaped the incident without physical injury.

RCMP collision analysts attended the scene to document evidence and determine the exact cause of the crash. Police have not yet released details about what led to the collision, and the investigation remains active.
