Loblaw Companies Limited has issued a product recall affecting PC® Cola Zero Sugar beverages sold across Canada, raising concerns for consumers managing their sugar intake.

The recall specifically targets select cases of PC® Cola (12 x 355 ML) with UPC 060383787035 and lot code 2026NO20PQ1427. The issue stems from a labelling error where some cans marked as PC® Cola Zero Sugar actually contain regular PC® Cola — a significant concern for diabetics, people following low-sugar diets, and others avoiding added sugar.

Which Products Are Affected?

The affected beverages were distributed between April 2 and April 24, 2026, across numerous Loblaw-owned retailers and affiliated stores throughout Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Impacted locations include Real Canadian Superstore, Fortinos, Loblaws, Zehrs, No Frills, Shoppers Drug Mart, and independent affiliated stores in both regions.

Loblaw emphasized it issued the recall "out of an abundance of caution" to protect consumers who rely on accurate nutritional information when making purchasing decisions.

What Should You Do?

If you purchased PC® Cola Zero Sugar between early and mid-April, check the lot code on your packaging. Only products bearing lot code 2026NO20PQ1427 are affected. Affected consumers should not consume the product and instead return it to their point of purchase for a full refund.

The recall underscores the importance of label accuracy in food and beverage manufacturing, particularly for consumers with specific dietary requirements or health conditions.
