Captain Antoine Forest, 30, and First Officer Mackenzie Gunther, 24, died on March 22 when their aircraft struck a fire truck crossing the runway immediately after landing. The memorial, installed at the Jacques-de-Lesseps plane spotting park, stands as a solemn tribute to their dedication and passion for aviation.

A preliminary investigation by the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board has revealed alarming gaps in airport safety systems that may have contributed to the collision.
